How i came into the Beauty service technology industry ?!

Vietnamese people live in many countries around the world, and the nail industry has long been one that helps us make a living, create value, and bring prosperity to our families and communities. The nail profession has become a kind of national identity an informal “Vietnamese brand” recognized internationally. When people mention nails, they often think of Vietnamese; just as when they mention cleaning or care work, they think of Filipinos, or paperwork and IT, they think of Indians. Every nation has one or two signature professions that represent its people abroad. For Vietnam, besides the famous dish Phở, the nail industry is also one of those strong cultural-economic identities.

I am no exception. Although I was not professionally trained in the beginning, I have always wanted to create value. Alone, I could not achieve that. Only through business could I bring people together into a system that creates and spreads shared value. But choosing an industry capable of generating impact and competitive strength in a market with thousands of well-established brands was not easy. As someone starting small, I decided to build upon a “national strength”  and the nail industry came to mind. Still, I asked myself many times: Am I truly passionate about this field? Can I apply my own strengths to build a passion strong enough to sustain and grow with it? If not, I would not pursue it.

A little joy when the profession also chose me

I first started with a nail studio, but soon realized it didn’t have enough power to spread and build a strong brand. The essence of business is to create service value and brand value. If the brand’s influence is limited, I would rather not do it. That’s why I chose to enter the beauty service technology sector with nail services as the starting point. This combination allows us to serve customers who truly need us, creating both social and economic value for the business and enabling sustainable growth.

The more I worked, the more passionate I became almost absolutely passionate. When passion is there, everything else falls into place; I could work endlessly without feeling tired, even dreaming about it in my sleep. Today’s learning resources, with AI, Big Data, and AI Agents, have given me what people call a “PhD in my pocket” allowing me to learn faster than ever before. Combined with real-world practice, I spent a long time serving customers directly to understand their needs and expectations so my team and I could continuously improve and innovate.

From Understanding to building a technological experience flatform

Based on real customer experience, I developed a technology-based system to enhance every step of the beauty service journey something unique to TapLook.

Before the service: we built a technician-location tracking system to optimize at-home visits.
During the service: customers enjoy curated experiences including music, aromatherapy, memory games during treatments, “Senior Talk” conversations, and heartfelt professional service from our partners.
After the service: our AI-powered system analyzes nail and foot health, sends reports via email, and automatically reminds clients of their next appointment.

Value, value, and value

I chose the beauty service technology industry because it allows me to deliver and repeat three core values every day:

Value for customers: offering memorable, professional service experiences and involving them in our senior wellness community.

Value for partners: helping them improve their lives through better income, and for newcomers, helping them integrate into society through meaningful client interaction.

Value for the community and society: as the world increasingly focuses on senior well-being, we’re proud to contribute through quality services and the TapLook Senior Smile Community Fund. At the same time, I aim to create opportunities for self-employed entrepreneurs through the Mobile Beauty business model, shared in my book series “Mobile Beauty Money.”

With these three values, my team and I persist every day bringing the Vietnamese nail brand to households in a more personalized, human-centered way.
